How it works
A 20-minute call to hear what's going on and match you with the right coach.
A short questionnaire each partner fills out privately before your first session.
Focused conversations with real tools: scripts, rituals and repair practices.
Leave with a written plan and monthly tune-ups if you'd like them.
Questions
Not quite. Dr. Okafor is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, and her intensives can be clinical. Our coaching sessions are skills-focused and educational. If we think therapy would serve you better (for example, with trauma, addiction or mental health concerns) we'll tell you and help with referrals.
Very common, and still worth it. Individual sessions can shift a dynamic, because when one person changes their part of the dance, the whole dance changes.
Coaching isn't covered by insurance. We can provide a superbill for Dr. Okafor's clinical intensives, which some out-of-network plans reimburse. HSA/FSA cards are often accepted.
Yes, warmly and without assumptions. All of our coaches are trained in affirming care for LGBTQ+, interfaith, intercultural and consensually non-monogamous relationships.
Reschedule for free with 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations are charged at 50%. Life happens; we'll waive it once a year, no questions asked.
Couples coaching isn't appropriate when there's ongoing abuse or coercive control. Please contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 (or text START to 88788). We're happy to offer individual support and referrals.
